MoPub’s mission since we started the company three years ago has been to enable the world’s publishers to create great mobile content, through powerful and sophisticated advertising technology. In so doing, we come in contact with every constituency in the mobile industry, from developers to publishers to advertisers and finally to consumers. As more companies join the mobile revolution, it has become increasingly important to provide a forum for thought leaders to convene and discuss common problems and how we can solve them together as an industry. However, the mobile business still lacks such a forum.

That’s why today, I’m extremely excited to announce our first industry-wide conference, which we’re naming Mobile First 2013 . The mission behind the conference will be to bring together the top innovators from across the mobile spectrum, no matter how they interact with mobile advertising. The conference will be on November 5, 2013 in New York City at New York Times Center in midtown. It is the same week as AdTech NYC – ideally many of you will be in town already.

We believe we have an opportunity to chart the course for the evolution of advertising in mobile and we want to make sure everyone is part of that conversation. The agenda will cover advertising of course, but will also cover the other problems that our industry is facing: distribution, platform fragmentation and more. We’ve got a number of industry heavyweights already committed to speak and are adding to the list as we speak. We will be announcing the complete agenda and speaker list in the coming weeks.

Be first in line for invitations to the conference by signing up on our Mobile First conference home page .

Finally, I wanted give credit to Fred Wilson for coining the term “mobile first” on his AVC blog , and for providing a convenient way for our industry to underscore and talk about the unprecedented transition from the PC era to the mobile era.
