Preparing Your Apps for iOS9

Support for App Transport Security

iOS 9 introduces a new feature called App Transport Security (ATS), which is a default setting that prevents an app from making non-secure connections. For App Transport Security related settings, please see this document for more information .

Impact to mediation through SDK adapters
In order to make sure there is no impact to your app monetization, y ou should follow-up with each SDK provider you work with to see their specific requirements and instructions for integrating with iOS9.

Impact of IPv6 requirement
The IPv6 requirement has no implications for MoPub SDK. Everything should work as is and publishers shouldn’t have to worry about this.

Bitcode and App Thinning
The iOS 9 SDK offers App Thinning which includes compiling bitcode.

The App Store and operating system optimize the installation of iOS and watchOS apps by tailoring app delivery to the capabilities of the user’s particular device, with minimal footprint. For publishers who use the MoPub open source SDK, Bitcode is supported out of the box.
