If it seems like we’re hiring like mad , it’s because we are. We’re excited to welcome John Pena (he prefers Peña, which means “rock” or “stone”) to the MoPub family. John will be working as a front end developer to help make MoPub’s already highly complimented UI, even smoother and more intuitive. In his own words:

My name is John Pena. I was born in New York and raised in Connecticut, and ventured south to North Carolina for college at Duke University (go devils!) where I majored in Computer Science and Philosophy. At Duke I worked in the Visualization Technology Lab ( ) working on a large virtual reality theater called the DIVE, and with the One Laptop per Child project to bring computers to local low-income elementary schools. After college I came to the Bay Area to work with angel investor Steve Anderson in creating companies that help startup people run their businesses. I’m now super thrilled and fortunate to be working at Mopub as a front-end engineer with some really cool people on really interesting and challenging problems. In my free time I’m an avid skier, an awful surfer, a decent drummer, and a rabid Duke basketball fan. I am currently being trained in square dancing by Hines Ward.

Keep an eye out for posts from Señor Peña!
